We have a section under WoW where we can post our high crafters, other
crafters, and requests. WoWmail your order in the subject line, and
please give help with materials when possible.
LotRO: Varda as current
guild branch leader will pick a Normal server, US East or the
equivalent for the guild as soon as she gets the game. The server name
will be posted to the Forum and on the News, on Elatan's LotRO page for
our guild, and on the official LotRO Turbine forum thread we already
have. Discussion hurt us on WoW, causing early scattering.

Before-meeting:
You have just entered room "valarguildmeetingplace."
ArPharazonV: Ugh
ArPharazonV: mouse acted up as I was trying to click another window
ArPharazonV: so it sent me to the topright-corner... the x-button for
this window
Eonwe Valar: ouch
Eonwe Valar: taking roll. We'll begin shortly
Star of Phaet has entered the room.
Star of Phaet: Aiya folks (Gilraen under a different sn)
Eonwe Valar: greetings
Eonwe Valar: and thanks for telling me that, or I would've never
guessed :}
Eonwe Valar: Any reason you couldn't come in your normal Gilraen
costume? Just curious.
VardaValar1 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya
Eonwe Valar: heya
ArPharazonV: Aiya
VardaValar1: Sorry for lateness
Eonwe Valar: np
Star of Phaet: I'm in another chat with some friends, plotting about an
rp, and if I log out to log in with my guild name I'm going to lose
everything we've sorted so far
Star of Phaet: (plus I'm lazy)
Star of Phaet: (and aim hates me)
Eonwe Valar: Well, you almost got simpathy, now go relog (j/k :})
Star of Phaet: heh
Eonwe Valar: don't forget you can save chats in channels and in side
windows.
Eonwe Valar: That's how we get the Weekly meeting up on the web page.
Star of Phaet: mmm. I think my aim needs updatign though. it dies
whenever I try and do anything fancy like save stuff or send files.
Star of Phaet: *updating
Eonwe Valar: hehe
sauronjag has entered the room.
Eonwe Valar: should do that after the meeting and after your chat then
:}
Eonwe Valar: PLus, you can always copy/paste to notepad then save
sauronjag: Hello all :-) Sorry can't stay studying for finals :-(
Eonwe Valar: I'll be studying shortly for finals as well :}
Eonwe Valar: like after the meeting :}
Eonwe Valar: (only have one tomorrow)
Eonwe Valar: Thanks for stopping by Lungorthin :}
sauronjag: me too @ 8am, but is the hardest one of course :P
sauronjag: course the easy one is on thursday haha
Eonwe Valar: the rest of mine are tuesday starting at 8 :}
Eonwe Valar: my one tomorrow is 10:30
Eonwe Valar: Ok, better get the meeting rolling :}

Eonwe Valar: Any other member news?
VardaValar1: Good luck!
top
Eonwe Valar: ok, on to Web news:
Eonwe Valar: Varda, your floor.
VardaValar1: Thank you

VardaValar1: The articles:

VardaValar1: All articles are now separated onto separate pages
VardaValar1: Also, I've been playing with the link colors, green as the
main link color
VardaValar1: Let me know if that is good with you guys
VardaValar1: These are your pages too
VardaValar1: On the guild pages:
VardaValar1: Orodreth sent in information now up:
VardaValar1: "Bot Commands"
VardaValar1: http://valarguild.org/varda/games/D2X/bot/B
otCommandsOro.htm
VardaValar1: This is for you guys in Battlenet
VardaValar1: Lets you mail each other there and see who's been on
VardaValar1: One more thing
VardaValar1: The writers of stories, poems, articles, etc enjoy your
feedback
VardaValar1: If you have trouble emailing them, I can put it with the
story etc
VardaValar1: Also, for artists, our fiction and poetry would appreciate
illustrations.
VardaValar1: Thank you. End of report
Eonwe Valar: Thanks Varda :}
Eonwe Valar: Any other Web news?
VardaValar1: Oh, one more, sorry
Eonwe Valar: Go ahead
VardaValar1: I am in contact with a large group of LotR writers who have lost their old
web person, but still crank out stories
VardaValar1: I may be able to pick up a lot of them, if I talk fast
VardaValar1: They are a group that writes mostly for pre-LotR, mostly
friend/family fic for Aragorn, Legolas, and some for the twins: Elladan
and Elrohir
VardaValar1: Would you guys like that?
sauronjag: would be nice to read more stories
ArPharazonV: sounds nice
VardaValar1: I have to warn you they are almost all ladies
VardaValar1: We need stories from guys :-)
Eonwe Valar: I guess it would depend on what kind of stories we're
talking here :}
VardaValar1: They are clean, np
VardaValar1: Some are even fluffy
VardaValar1: Most are adventures
VardaValar1: Some get pretty rough, but you can handle violence :-)
Eonwe Valar: I see no problem then :}
Star of Phaet: that sounds pretty neat
VardaValar1: Ok, I'll make the attempt
Eonwe Valar: Pretty true to lore?
VardaValar1: We may need to get more space
VardaValar1: Close, but
VardaValar1: most drop Gilraen as dead when Aragorn was young
VardaValar1: It's a plot problem
VardaValar1: They also usually drop Legolas' mom as dead
VardaValar1: You probably know the group
VardaValar1: Most wrote for Mellon Chronicles
VardaValar1: I may have to find more server space
VardaValar1: Ok, that's all. I hope :-)
Eonwe Valar: :}
Eonwe Valar: Ok. Since mine borders on web and gaming, I'll put it here.
Eonwe Valar: Coming up after I finish with finals, Menelvagor is going
to get a bit of webwork to do from me.
Menelvagor Valar: uh-oh
Menelvagor Valar: what work? :-)
Eonwe Valar: The most notable is going to be an update
for the WoW Charter.
[Note: subject continues into the Gaming section]
top
Gaming:
Eonwe Valar: I'm going to update the part about battlegrounds to reflect that they
do exist, and that members who want to participate are welcome to.
Eonwe Valar: I'm telling you now rather then when it's done so that
those of you who enjoy that know it's ok to go for it.
Menelvagor Valar: so you're going to update it, and I do the uploading
or something?
Eonwe Valar: aye :}
Menelvagor Valar: sure..
Eonwe Valar: not so bad as it sounds, is it? :}
Menelvagor Valar: just you know that this week I've had 3 minutes of
WoW time.
Menelvagor Valar: nah, it's easy enough :-)
Eonwe Valar: You are running the WoW page, so these tasks fall to you :}
Menelvagor Valar: in theory, I am, yes :-)
Eonwe Valar: I also want to remind everyone that you can participate in
PvP or dueling if you desire,
but no member is required to do so. As in all venues, however, all
members are to conduct themselves honorably.
Eonwe Valar: *PvP or dueling in WoW.
Eonwe Valar: These things are 98% consentual in WoW, so they are
allowed.
Menelvagor Valar: what happened to the other 2%?
Eonwe Valar: the other 2% being when a a guy that needs to survive for
a quest flags you for healing him :}
ArPharazonV: that includes challenging opponents with a glove and
saying "touche" once in a while?
Menelvagor Valar: ah indeed.
VardaValar1: Or accidentally hit a civilian in Alterac Mts.
Eonwe Valar: a bow at the beginning of duels would suffice, Phar :}
VardaValar1: A bow before duel is considered a good idea ; )
VardaValar1: No crowing when you when, or petulance when you lose : )
ArPharazonV: ah, ok
Eonwe Valar: I've personally tried 2 of the 3 battlegrounds, and
they're fun with a coordinated group of friends.
ArPharazonV: I can do that :-)
Menelvagor Valar: 2nd when = win most likely.
Eonwe Valar: No spitting on enemies either.
Menelvagor Valar: just proper conduct.
Eonwe Valar: Aye. At least most of you know the kind of conduct we're
expecting. All of you should know.
ArPharazonV: and, of course, slapping your opponent in the face with a
plate gauntlet to challenge him can provide you with a slight advantage
as he needs to recover from his concussion first..
Eonwe Valar: hehe
Eonwe Valar: Any questions on this subject before we move on?
GwaihirValar: I must say that Arathi Basin is quite fun... if you
haven't tried it, its definitely worth trying. Even with 'pug's(Public
unorganized groups), its quite a rush. Very fastpaced... (just to poke
in a comment ;-))
VardaValar1: Should we consider if we prefer something like Teamspeak
or Ventrilo in the future, for hands free large groups?
ArPharazonV: public unorganized?
Eonwe Valar: I would generally prefer to leave that optional.
ArPharazonV: isn't pu pick-up?
GwaihirValar: I've actually heard about 6 different 'expanded' forms of
pug phara
GwaihirValar: lol
GwaihirValar: I think public unorganized is the most apt one for most
of the groups I've done ;-)
Eonwe Valar: one is correct all the time, the other is corect most of
the time :}
Menelvagor Valar: teamspeak tends to lag a lot in WoW, with vibing
sounds, I'd recommend either Ventrilo or Skype.
sauronjag: I know in Dark age of camelot, all of us, in almost all the
guilds I've ran w/ use ventrillo
VardaValar1: Teamspeak is free, yes? What about the other two?
sauronjag: Vent costs money per what user capacity you want for your
channel
Eonwe Valar: Vent would not be for us then.
sauronjag: aye, problem w/ that is someone needs to foot the bill ;-)
sauronjag: I've had some problems w/ ts (teamspeak), but use it myself
because it's free
Eonwe Valar: I would prefer to stick with in-game communication as much
as possible. Easier for everyone to have access to.
VardaValar1: The teamspeak is easy
VardaValar1: It comes from your speaker and you talk in your mike
VardaValar1: That leaves hands free to attack and defend
sauronjag: yep, just need to set like a mouse4 button as the talk key
VardaValar1: It's in game
sauronjag: and can talk while in game
Eonwe Valar: I only have 3 mouse buttons :}
Menelvagor Valar: set any other key, even keyboard, like right shift.
Eonwe Valar: I'm simply saying not everyone may have a mike.
GwaihirValar: not everyone has to...
VardaValar1: They won't. But mikes are cheap
GwaihirValar: mainly only the 'raid leader' needs one
VardaValar1: The group leaders need mikes
VardaValar1: What Gwaihir said : )
GwaihirValar: I know from my experience that it helps a lot for
coordination of the leader can just say it all...
Eonwe Valar: So then everyone else is just stuck listening?
sauronjag: hehe makes it a little more difficult... with teamspeak
there is an option for auto-speak and you set the level of volume where
it starts outputting. the great thing about using a program like vent
or ts is that even if people don't
VardaValar1: The rest need to turn on their speakers : )
sauronjag: have mikes, then they can still listen to hte leader
VardaValar1: Plenty of people have mikes or will get them. Not expensive
Eonwe Valar: ok, but if we do use this, people are going to have to
control their tongues as well as their fingers :}
Star of Phaet: I'm off folks. Namarie.
VardaValar1: bye
sauronjag: aye eonwe :-)
Eonwe Valar: No more shouting into the air and controlling your fingers
:}
sauronjag: people that are annoyances get muted or booted
Eonwe Valar: better keep pillows away from the speakers so you can
scream into them :}
Star of Phaet has left the room.
VardaValar1: We are Valar. Surely we can manage
sauronjag: haha
VardaValar1: I have a pillow handy right here, Eonwe : )
sauronjag: efficiency is maximized tenfold w/ a program like that if
everyone in group is at least even listening. great for mob setup and
explanations, directions, anything
Eonwe Valar: ok, as long as we're all clear on that :}
ArPharazonV: and, of course... typing english is one thing...
ArPharazonV: speaking english as a non-native is a little bit trickier
Eonwe Valar: aye, that is another thing to consider
VardaValar1: Question for those who have used the program:
sauronjag: true, I've foudn that people who have a hard time speaking
type in english and just listen
VardaValar1: can we still type?
sauronjag: yep
sauronjag: it runs in the background if you are running fullscreen
VardaValar1: cool. Then we can type without mikes so all can have a say
sauronjag: just have to make sure you have a button set up for output,
or the auto-output option
VardaValar1: We should practice that sort of thing before raids, in
regular quest groups, sounds like
GwaihirValar: Remember Eo, you set it to 'push-to-talk' and only push
the button when you have something constructive... you can still yell
and scream and whine all you want; just don't push the button until
you're ready to talk normally :-)
Eonwe Valar: hehe
sauronjag: :-)
VardaValar1: That should solve it : )
sauronjag: you can also set it for a key on keyboard that you never use
Eonwe Valar: Unless you slip and hit the button in the middle of a rant
:}
VardaValar1: All will laugh : )
VardaValar1: Talk about a mis-tell!
ArPharazonV: you can sing songs together as you march through quests!
Eonwe Valar: You'd all end up hearing my music through teamspeak, hehe
:}
VardaValar1: Play some LotR soundtracks!
ArPharazonV: Teamspeak is used in our European guild as well
ArPharazonV: for casual chat, mostly, since few people have it
VardaValar1: How many can we hear at the same time?
Eonwe Valar: I've got a little bit of everything :}LotR music, some
rock, some anime soundtracks.. :}
ArPharazonV: and you can listen to each other's background music
VardaValar1: We might want only the leader to have it ; )
sauronjag: as many as are inthe channel
sauronjag: have to make sure to tell people that only the leader talks
sauronjag: or however you want it setup
ArPharazonV: I'm going to look for it somewhere next week... it seems
great fun
sauronjag: only pve chat etc whatever you ask them
Eonwe Valar: interparty chat can still go in text party channels.
GwaihirValar: Well, Varda, regarding the number that can be heard...
Teamspeak allows anyone to speak... BUT the program doesn't handle more
than about 4-5 inputs at a time well
Eonwe Valar: er, inner-party chat
GwaihirValar: if you have 4 people talking, you're going to start
getting either static or people cutting out...
VardaValar1: Be like car talk in town, nothing but heterodyne sounds : )
GwaihirValar: teamspeak is free for a reason afterall ;-)
Eonwe Valar: hehe
Eonwe Valar: best you can expect for free, aye :}
Eonwe Valar: Unless one programmers want to put something together,
hehe :}
Eonwe Valar: one-our
Eonwe Valar: one = our
VardaValar1: We don't want too many people talking at once anyway.
Self-policing
Eonwe Valar: Aye, agreed.
VardaValar1: For all the side yak we have, we can type!
ArPharazonV: I already know it's going to confuse me so much.. typing
and talking at once...
Eonwe Valar: and gaming, don't forget gaming :}
VardaValar1: You won't have a problem. You are a fast typist : )
Eonwe Valar: going to have to multitask like crazy :}
VardaValar1: Sounds fun : )
ArPharazonV: right, but I have trouble concentrating with intense
multitasking
Eonwe Valar: ok, I think we've spent enough time on this subject :}
We'll have to give Teamspeak a try sometime.
VardaValar1: You're not required to talk all the time during a fight. np
VardaValar1: okies
VardaValar1: Any in Lothar have Teamspeak now?
Eonwe Valar: Not I.
GwaihirValar: I just don't have a Mic so I just listen to the people on
ts/vent...
Eonwe Valar: (Still haven't gone out to buy a microphone, heh.)
GwaihirValar: anyways, I'm going to go get a few more hours sleep
before work....
VardaValar1: Would be fun to hear other member's voices : )
VardaValar1: As we did on the Yahoo chat for a time
Eonwe Valar: Hmm actually, I just thought of something else we could
try :}
Eonwe Valar: Yahoo Chat :}
VardaValar1: I lose the screen every time I switch back to the main chat
Eonwe Valar: ah
VardaValar1: Want to try to pull it up now? : )
Eonwe Valar: well, if it's voice, we wouldn't need to switch back
VardaValar1: Not all can enter
VardaValar1: It has a thing against younger members
Eonwe Valar: let's try during Tolkien or after-meeting
VardaValar1: One reason we had to drop it
Eonwe Valar: true
VardaValar1: Sounds fun : )
Eonwe Valar: do we have anyone under 13 at this point?
Eonwe Valar: Besides Members of Honor?
VardaValar1: Yes
VardaValar1: We have some in the area of 11
ArPharazonV: just give me a link, no idea of the micro on my monitor
works
VardaValar1: From the Index page
VardaValar1: under Tolkien
GwaihirValar has left the room.
ArPharazonV: and I refuse to call it a mike, since that's my own name
:-)
VardaValar1: it's below the G
VardaValar1: Forum
Eonwe Valar: It's labeld "Discussion Board" I thought?
Eonwe Valar: *labeled
sauronjag: for "ts" http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=downloads
sauronjag: get the client for most people, one person needs to run a ts
server and share the ip w/ everyone
VardaValar1: So that might be our leader?
sauronjag: aye, but can be anyone really
VardaValar1: Cost nothing, and available to all all the time once we
are started?
sauronjag: whoever wants to run a dedicated server
sauronjag: yep
sauronjag: so long as there is someone running the server, others can
connect to it and talk
sauronjag: if you guys would like to try I can bring my ts server up and you can try
talking to me
Eonwe Valar: WoW, I remembered my Yahoo sign in info :}
ArPharazonV: so, logged in...
ArPharazonV: yeah, me too
ArPharazonV: how do I enter the chatroom?
Eonwe Valar: er, Wow, WoW :}
VardaValar1: click chat on the left in the menu
VardaValar1: I'm trying to enter, java is going
Eonwe Valar: It's Java so may take a sec to load depending on your
connection.
ArPharazonV: apparently I'm not a member of the group :-(
VardaValar1: I should update my Java
VardaValar1: Did you sign in?
ArPharazonV: aye
VardaValar1: You can register yourself
ArPharazonV: but it might have been my name before I joined you, if I
chose another
VardaValar1: I just ban people who spam
VardaValar1: Eonwe and I are in the chat room now
VardaValar1: You can re-register if you need to
Eonwe Valar: Does anyone else need to know how to get into the Chat
Room on Yahoo?
VardaValar1: Do you need me to check for your name?
ArPharazonV: aye, that would be nice
Eonwe Valar: Speak now or e-mail Varda at the end :}
ArPharazonV: oh, found it
VardaValar1: heh, just as I sent it to you
Eonwe Valar: OK, shall we continue with Gaming?
ArPharazonV: sure
ArPharazonV: and introduce me to the speech-system later
VardaValar1: Aye. IM me for help with your name or other on chat
Eonwe Valar: OK
Eonwe Valar: We have two questing reports this week.
Eonwe Valar: For WoW Lothar.
Eonwe Valar: The first is from the team of Varda and Arathorn.
Eonwe Valar: The other from me and Bilbo.
Eonwe Valar: Vard aand Arathorn visited Silithus.
Eonwe Valar: They went into Silithus and complete the quest for Vyral.
Eonwe Valar: While they were at it, they chatted with others who were
online.
Eonwe Valar: So even if you aren't in the same group doing the same
stuff, you can still chat with other Guild people :}
Eonwe Valar: Bilbo and I went into the Western
Plaguelands.
Eonwe Valar: We went to complete the quests Ala, Andorhal! and "Araj's
Phylactory Shard"
Eonwe Valar: For fun (and quests), Bilbo and I decided to go after Araj
the Summoner, a lvl 61 Elite standing in the middle of Andorhal
surrounded by a small army of undead.
Eonwe Valar: After making an initial call for anyone interested, we
were going to try it just us two.
ArPharazonV: ouch
Eonwe Valar: We didn't do too bad with the first pull, but the second
one wasn't quite as good, and we ended up dead. We found two more
people interested in joining the fight, Ubermench and Corsair, both
Paladins.
Eonwe Valar: With them, we went after Araj. Using the Attuned Dampener
I had on Araj, I charged at him and used every Holy ability I could
without drawing in every other undead in the area, judging Crusader
first to enhance the damage.
Eonwe Valar: We brought him down, and it was a simple matter of
cleaning up the stragglers that were still fighting with us. I grabbed
the two quest items, and turning them in completed my task.
ArPharazonV: heh, we used a raid for that, of 11 people I think
Eonwe Valar: There's nothing wrong with trying to 2-man a lvl 61 elite
:}
ArPharazonV: about 4 or 5 from our guild
Eonwe Valar: and it only took us 4 :}
ArPharazonV: took out the isolated ones at the perimeter while we were
gathering
ArPharazonV: and then slaughtered the entire army with a full attack :-)
ArPharazonV: it was great
Eonwe Valar: Does the European group have a report? :}
ArPharazonV: well
ArPharazonV: raid-progress: last boss from Zul'Gurub defeated
ArPharazonV: and Ragnaros
killed for the first time
ArPharazonV: so it's been a good week
VardaValar1: :-)
ArPharazonV: I got my Cenarion Boots *cheer*
ArPharazonV: and I am now the only one who doesn't have the Spaulders,
so next time they drop they're mine
ArPharazonV: bringing me up to 5 pieces!
VardaValar1: Make you all look identical
ArPharazonV: :-)
ArPharazonV: I found the top of
Ironforge mountain this afternoon
ArPharazonV: but died in a fall on the way down, had to spirit-rez, and
now I can't find the way up anymore :-(
ArPharazonV: took some nice screenies though
Eonwe Valar: I don't think you're supposed to get up there anyway, so
be careful doing that.
ArPharazonV: :-)
ArPharazonV: it's not like it's unfinished
ArPharazonV: it's easy to get to once you find that airstrip
ArPharazonV: and that area is nicely populated with mountaineers,
trolls, npcs, and even a pet-trainer
ArPharazonV: but if I ever get a warning from Blizzard, I'll stop going
there ;-)
Eonwe Valar: ok :}
ArPharazonV: and that's basically my personal report
ArPharazonV: didn't cooperate much with Valar-guildies
Eonwe Valar: Shame to hear that.
ArPharazonV: we all do different things, although it's always nice to
talk to each other :-)
Eonwe Valar: You guys should come to Lothar :}
ArPharazonV: but the fact that we're only with 4 doesn't help
sauronjag: or **cough** daoc **cough** ;-)
Eonwe Valar: could scout for more Phar :}
ArPharazonV: true
Eonwe Valar: But we have an official branch on Lothar, USEast, WoW,
Lungorthin :}
Eonwe Valar: In further WoW gaming news: the changes to the Paladin
for 1.9 are getting interesting.
Eonwe Valar: Blessing of Kings goes to Protection as an 11 point,
Retribution gets Repentance as its 31 point.
ArPharazonV: aye... I had a beautiful setup for my paladin earlier this
week.. and now they're tossing it all about again
Eonwe Valar: Retribution loses Consecration for Sanctitiy Aura, trading
with Holy for an ability that for most Retribution Paladins will be
less useful than Improved Ret Aura.
Eonwe Valar: (I won't bore you all with the math :})
ArPharazonV: stupid blizzard for killing my dps-machine before she even
got that far!
Eonwe Valar: Except for the loss of Consecration, I was fairly
satisfied with the changes.
ArPharazonV: so now the european talent calculator is heavily out of
date... is the american one more recent?
Eonwe Valar: And with the loss of BoK to Protection, it means
everyone's choices now from me are Windsom or Might :}
VardaValar1: Blizz is supposed to make a new talent calculator, I think
Eonwe Valar: The American one is recent up to the switch with BoK last
I checked.
ArPharazonV: ok, will check out that one then
Eonwe Valar: i.e. it doesn't reflect the switch.
ArPharazonV: oh
ArPharazonV: well, it has bok in protection now
ArPharazonV: so it's more recent than our one, at least
Eonwe Valar: I still intend to spec Retribution, as the tree hasn't
lost all appeal to me, but I have no reason to go any into Protection,
so I won't have Blessing of Kings at this point.
Eonwe Valar: ot does? ok good.
Eonwe Valar: *oh it
ArPharazonV: I like retribution, but I don't think I'll pick its
ultimate now
Eonwe Valar: Repentance is supposed to work with the Judment of
Command, so it can be used to snag about 400 dmg.
Eonwe Valar: *Judgement
ArPharazonV: repentance just seems to be crowd control
ArPharazonV: putting a mob in a state of meditation
Eonwe Valar: It's could also be good for getting a heal off in solo, or
judging Command as mentioned above.
ArPharazonV: meh, I'll take it then...
Eonwe Valar: But yeah, I'm not immensely impressed either.
Eonwe Valar: I'll see how it plays out though.
ArPharazonV: I have to do something with my last points, anyway
sauronjag: Folks I've got to take my leave - study session much needed
:-)
sauronjag: Take care, Namarie
ArPharazonV: thing is, though, with my current setup, it's either BoK
or Repentance
sauronjag has left the room.
Eonwe Valar: BoK isn't an option for me at all anymore.
Eonwe Valar: I'm getting Improved Ret Aura, so I'm not improving my
Devotion Aura.
ArPharazonV: and if I do pick BoK, I'll need to put 2 more points in an
ability I don't like that much
ArPharazonV: well, I'm getting both
ArPharazonV: as well as precision
Eonwe Valar: I'm going the rest of my points into Holy
ArPharazonV: I only have Divine Strength in Holy :-)
ArPharazonV: as I said, I'll be making a dps-machine
Eonwe Valar: For Concecration, the str and int boost, helaing boost,
and I think one other thing.
Glorfindel VG: hullo
ArPharazonV: Aiya
VardaValar1: Aiya : )
Eonwe Valar: A DPS Machine would need Improved Blessing of MIght more
than Kings :}
ArPharazonV: true
ArPharazonV: but I have that too
Eonwe Valar: From what I hear, a nice mana pool will be helpful as well.
ArPharazonV: the thing is, I can have all of that, and BoK for raids,
but I'll have to give up repentance
ArPharazonV: and pursuit of justice, what I was looking forward too..
ArPharazonV: *to
ArPharazonV: did you go to a testserver?
Eonwe Valar: No
ArPharazonV: I'm still not sure whether pursuit stacks with carrot
and/or spurs
ArPharazonV: if not, it would make it useless
Eonwe Valar: it would likely take me forever to get the thind
downloaded.
Eonwe Valar: It doesn't at this point.
Glorfindel VG: what became of the ring of the witchking when he was
slain? why did no one find it? i always wondered...
ArPharazonV: I think because the Ringwraiths did not actually have
their rings anymore
Eonwe Valar: We're not quite into Tolkien Chat yet Glorfindel :}
ArPharazonV: that Sauron held them, so that he had total control ove
them, even though he did not possess the ruling ring
ArPharazonV: but yes, not yet in Tolkien :-)
Eonwe Valar: Before we transition that way, any more gaming news?
Glorfindel VG: oooh sorry :-P
ArPharazonV: fine, I'll toss 2 points into armorbonus.. that's always
nice
Eonwe Valar: Hold onto the topic for a couple of minutes Glofrindel and
you can repeat it :}
ArPharazonV: 5/11/35 build now
Eonwe Valar: No other Gaming news?
top
Eonwe Valar: ok, Tolkien Chat :} Take it away Glorfindel :}
Glorfindel VG: alrighty
Glorfindel VG: if i may
Glorfindel VG: when eowyn (and merry)
destroyed the witchking, what then happened to his ring? if he
still wore it that is... his clothes and crown and things fell bodiless
to the ground when he was slain... what became of the ring? what if...
Glorfindel VG: someone could have taken it...? used it?
VardaValar1: That would have been rough. Sauron had lost ringwraiths
previously, as to Aragorn's fire
VardaValar1: Sauron kept all the Nine rings himself
Glorfindel VG: and the wraiths did not wear them?
VardaValar1: Right
VardaValar1: They wore them as humans
VardaValar1: but not as wraiths
ArPharazonV: but then they slowly became enslaved to them
ArPharazonV: and Sauron took them so he could command them with less
risk, perhaps
ArPharazonV: and even when the ruling ring was lost, he could still
command them
ArPharazonV: since he held their rings
Menelvagor Valar has left the room.
VardaValar1: But the question is still good
VardaValar1: Gandalf and Sauron both had a similar problem
VardaValar1: It's addressed in the Letters of Tolkien
VardaValar1: He said they took the Rings with them, that their spirits
had that much power
VardaValar1: Apparently the Ringwraiths did not have that kind of
power, being human rather than Maiar
Orodreth V has entered the room.
VardaValar1: or Sauron just wanted the control
Oessala has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Orodreth : )
VardaValar1: We were talking about where Rings go when the owner dies
ArPharazonV: what would have happened if the wraiths had had their
Rings still?
ArPharazonV: when Sauron lost the Ruling Ring?
VardaValar1: Apparently Isildur grabbed Saurons ring before Sauron
could take it buy spirit
ArPharazonV: well, Isildur physically cut off the ring from Sauron's
body, thus perhaps severing the connection
VardaValar1: If they wraiths had had their rings still, they might have
lost them the first time they lost their bodies, and another like
Isildur could have taken them
VardaValar1: They might have found themselves replaced in Sauron's
ringwraith collection
VardaValar1: hmm - no
ArPharazonV: but if they had had them still?
VardaValar1: I wonder if more than one human spirit could attach to a
ring?
ArPharazonV: for some reason?
ArPharazonV: would they have grown dark and independent?
VardaValar1: Sauron would still control them through the One Ring
ArPharazonV: but Sauron did not have the One Ring at the time
VardaValar1: Even the Elves feared that, and they were lesser spirits,
not immortal anyway
VardaValar1: Sauron was always attached to the One Ring, always had a
part of himself there
ArPharazonV: the Elves used their Rings in what way they could, during
the Third Age.. since the Ring was "lost"
ArPharazonV: true
ArPharazonV: but did he really have dominance through it?
VardaValar1: The ringwraiths lost independent will over time
ArPharazonV: if so, what actually was the threat in him having it over
it being lost?
VardaValar1: Yes, the Elves removed the Rings they had immediately
Oessala has left the room.
VardaValar1: Once Sauron held the Ring again, and he would, anyone
wearing one of those lesser rings would be seen by him again and
eventually taken
ArPharazonV: right, right
Orodreth V: rebooting
ArPharazonV: but during the time when he did not have the thing, is
what I'm asking
ArPharazonV: as in, the entire Third Age
Orodreth V has left the room.
VardaValar1: It's interesting. Where were the 9 then?
VardaValar1: If Sauron had them, then he was carrying them as he would
have done with the One Ring, as he had from Numenor
VardaValar1: If he had somehow missed, say, the Witch-king's Ring
VardaValar1: the Witch-king would still feel Sauron's presence
ArPharazonV: but would he still have been subject to it?
VardaValar1: Yes
VardaValar1: Sauron was calling the One Ring and all evil creatures to
himself
ArPharazonV: ah, that's true
Glorfindel VG: aye
ArPharazonV: yet there were some creatures that still held some
independence of their own
VardaValar1: Yes
ArPharazonV: the watcher in the water, for example, does not seem very
obedient to Sauron's direct command
ArPharazonV: unless Sauron commanded it to stay put in case the
Fellowship shows up...
VardaValar1: Sauron knew how to make use of evil creatures of all
sorts, even if they did not do an exact command
VardaValar1: Sauron did not know the Ring was on the Fellowship
ArPharazonV: true
VardaValar1: The Watcher guarded the gate very well
ArPharazonV: but would you say he followed a direct command?
ArPharazonV: or the Balrog?
VardaValar1: It does not tell us in the book
VardaValar1: But
Glorfindel VG: or shelob guarded the pass
VardaValar1: Sauron was known to the Balrog as the right hand of Morgoth
VardaValar1: The Balrog obeyed his "god" Morgoth, and therefore his
right hand
Xseanzee disco has entered the room.
ArPharazonV: true
VardaValar1: Shelob was used. Good for a guard
VardaValar1: Aiya Gil-galad : )
VardaValar1: Sauron was subtle
ArPharazonV: but what I'm saying is, how would it be guaranteed that
the Witch-King did follow Sauron's direct command?
VardaValar1: The Ring took over their wills
ArPharazonV: in the scenario where Sauron did not have that particular
ring?
Xseanzee disco: hey =)
ArPharazonV: nor the One Ring in his direct possession?
Eonwe Valar: heya
ArPharazonV: hey
VardaValar1: We know the Witch-king did follow Sauron's orders when
Sauron did not have the One Ring, setting up Dol Guldur
Eonwe Valar: The Nazgul's Will became Sauron's Will
VardaValar1: We know they know what Sauron was, the right hand of
Morgoth
ArPharazonV: right, but we may assume Sauron, in whatever form he was
in, did have the 9 rings in possession at that time
Glorfindel VG: what if the witchking had taken the ring from frodo on
weathertop... could he not have taken the ring for himself..??
VardaValar1: If the Witch-king had his own will, he knew it would be in
his best interest to do what Sauron said, as Morgoth was his boss
Eonwe Valar: Just like Gollum's will was barely his own after such a
long time with the Ring.
ArPharazonV: no, he could not have, Glorfindel.. since Sauron held his
own ring at the time :-)
VardaValar1: The Witch-king would not have taken the Ring for himself
on Weathertop
Xseanzee disco: What exactly was going on at Dol Guldur at the time of
the Nazguls' occupation? Just like rebuilding a following?
ArPharazonV: something just crossed my mind
VardaValar1: In Dol Guldur, Sauron's spirit was rebuilding
ArPharazonV: we don't hear much of appearances of the Nine before
Sauron was preparing his return, right?
VardaValar1: He was "the Necromancer"
Xseanzee disco: ah.
VardaValar1: The Nine built Mordor up for his return
ArPharazonV: true, but that's not what I meant
VardaValar1: When the Necromancer was driven from Dol Guldur, he was
ready to go to Mordor
Xseanzee disco: the Necromancer being Sauron's spirit?
VardaValar1: Apparently some great evil remained behind
ArPharazonV: I mean, it was not until Sauron's shadow regrowing, slowly
recovering, that the Nine made much of an appearance
VardaValar1: Aye, the Necromancer was Sauron's rebuilding spirit
ArPharazonV: so perhaps the lack of his "presence", instead of
rendering them independent, made them weak and goalless
VardaValar1: The Nine were very busy setting up for Sauron's return
VardaValar1: They set up Dol Guldur, then set up Mordor
ArPharazonV: and not until he slowly grew into power again, it was that
they started setting up Dol Guldur and later Mordor for his return
VardaValar1: Aye
ArPharazonV: it could be that their willpower had already disappeared
VardaValar1: Until he reached enough power to need such physical
strongholds
VardaValar1: The ringwraiths lost their will when they became wraiths,
to Sauron
ArPharazonV: and that even without the "guidance" of Sauron they did
not become semi-independent
VardaValar1: Sauron was never completely gone
ArPharazonV: they simply vanished into hidden areas, until Sauron's
will had grown strong enough again to command them
ArPharazonV: at which point they reappeared to setup his return
VardaValar1: We are not told
ArPharazonV: true
ArPharazonV: but we also do not have any indication of the Nine in the
Third Age before the preparing of Dol Guldur
VardaValar1: They don't seem to have done much that we could see, but
Mordor was not a nice place. They may have been there, away from the
dangers of the Elven Rings and Istari
VardaValar1: The Istari did not show up though, until Sauron began to
regain strength
ArPharazonV: right
VardaValar1: The Elven Rings had to be bad news to the ringwraiths
ArPharazonV: why is that, exactly? without the Ruling Ring "active",
what is their connection?
VardaValar1: The power of the strongest elves was reverse to the kind
of wishes Sauron held
ArPharazonV: what the 3 rings did was preserve and heal the lands their
owners had control over... doesn't seem much of a direct threat against
the servants of evil
ArPharazonV: a hindrance in their progress perhaps, but not a direct
threat
VardaValar1: It was
ArPharazonV: not something to hide from, methinks
VardaValar1: That is the reverse of the desires of Sauron
VardaValar1: The elves wanted the opposite of what Sauron did
VardaValar1: The ringwraiths could not dominate the elven lands
VardaValar1: Since the Greenwood had no ring, it was something of a
slap at the elves to set up Dol Guldur there
ArPharazonV: so they just went into hiding, instead of plundering and
making other non-elvish places unholy?
ArPharazonV: well, and set-up Dol Guldur, but that was not until many
years after the fall of Sauron
VardaValar1: They built up an Orcish army, after the Battle of Five
Armies nearly exterminated them
ArPharazonV: seems to me that the Nine could have done some serious
damage in those earlier years, even without Sauron
ArPharazonV: but instead, we do not hear from them
VardaValar1: They kept them secret until they were so built up at the
time Celebrian's party ran into them
VardaValar1: The Orcish army took a lot of work
ArPharazonV: true, but again, that did not occur until many years later
ArPharazonV: and the Nine would not have needed an actual army of Orcs
at their back to terrorize the countryside
VardaValar1: Would you say that when Sauron was so struck, that it sent
shock waves out?
VardaValar1: So they were also injured in a fashion?
ArPharazonV: injured? that I cannot say
VardaValar1: Sauron was also not supposed to be separated from the One
Ring. That was a huge disaster
ArPharazonV: but as I said, with a lesser guidance, their goals and
actions may have seriously slowed down to the point where they could
not even make an appearance even if they wanted to
VardaValar1: They may have had no guidance for some time, and just
drifted like shadows
Glorfindel VG: bbl, my poor old dog died..
ArPharazonV: instead of being physically injured, they may just have
drifted around devoid of willpower
Eonwe Valar: Gandalf says that the Nazgul are not as powerful as they
would be if Sauron held the RIng.
VardaValar1: Ohh, Glorfindel! I'm sorry
Eonwe Valar: Sorry to hear the Glorfindel.
VardaValar1: Did you have him a long time?
Glorfindel VG: thanks
Glorfindel VG: he was 16 years old though
VardaValar1: You must have taken very good care of him!
ArPharazonV: I'm sorry for your loss... know what it's like, lost mine
about 1 and a half years ago
Glorfindel VG: thanks
ArPharazonV: but 16 years is indeed quite old
ArPharazonV: although smaller dogs tend to live longer than big ones...
what kind was he?
Glorfindel VG: basset hound
Glorfindel VG: it was very expected
Glorfindel VG: actually i have been expecting his end to come for the
last 3 years
ArPharazonV: :-(
Glorfindel VG: but he just kept on living
Glorfindel VG: poor old guy
VardaValar1: A Snoopy dog! : ) So he was even tougher than expected
Glorfindel VG: ill be back a bit later though
VardaValar1: Take care : )
Glorfindel VG: thanks
VardaValar1: We're pretty much done
VardaValar1: Eonwe needs to go study, and Phar needs to sleep before
time to wake : )
ArPharazonV: hehe
ArPharazonV: you are quite right, I suppose
VardaValar1: It was a good topic!
ArPharazonV: very
ArPharazonV: just out of curiosity
ArPharazonV: if Glorfindel had not come with that topic, what would you
have chosen?
VardaValar1: They fly in from the lumber room of my mind : )
ArPharazonV: :-)
VardaValar1: Might have had to do with Hobbits
ArPharazonV: ah, always fun
ArPharazonV: well, perhaps we'll see it next week
VardaValar1: I've been working on that site area this week until it was
done
VardaValar1: I'll be working on another section now ;-)
ArPharazonV: :-)
ArPharazonV: any idea which one now?
VardaValar1: Do you have something you'd like to chew on?
VardaValar1: I need to finish Places, then look at the others
VardaValar1: Also, people send in stuff suddenly : )
ArPharazonV: :-)
VardaValar1: or I read things
VardaValar1: and the kids had the LotR movies running
ArPharazonV: btw, WoW, I donated over 1500 runecloth this week!
VardaValar1: That can set off tons of thought
ArPharazonV: my epic ram is getting closer and closer...
VardaValar1: for what?
VardaValar1: Congrats : )
ArPharazonV: just 6800 to go :P
VardaValar1: ouch - good luck!
ArPharazonV: I usually farm about 50 gold, then spend it in the AH at
2g-2g30 per stack of 20
ArPharazonV: donating at least 400 runecloth at a time
VardaValar1: That sounds like selling rather than donating
ArPharazonV: ?
VardaValar1: I must be missing something
VardaValar1: Donations are freely given
ArPharazonV: I go to some place like Hearthglen or Tyr's Hand
ArPharazonV: farm runecloth and gold until I have 50 gold
ArPharazonV: then I go to Ironforge
ArPharazonV: buyout 50 gold in runecloth
ArPharazonV: then donate the entire bunch to the Ironforge Clothmaster
or whatever she's called
VardaValar1: okies, for reputation
ArPharazonV: yeah
ArPharazonV: now 4000 rep into revered
VardaValar1: Lot of work! Good luck
ArPharazonV: in 17000, I'm exalted
ArPharazonV: and then I can start saving for the actual mount ;-)
VardaValar1: Must be other things to do for rep too, so you don't go
crazy
ArPharazonV: not for Ironforge, unless you go into Battlegrounds
ArPharazonV: and I never do those
VardaValar1: That just doesn't seem right
ArPharazonV: Darnassus has morrowgrain and ungoro soil
ArPharazonV: Stormwind has supply-delivery
VardaValar1: I got Honored with IF without clothmaster or PvP
ArPharazonV: Ironforge has... nothing
ArPharazonV: yes, of course, by questing
VardaValar1: Quests?
ArPharazonV: but none of those quests are repeatable
VardaValar1: No more quests?
ArPharazonV: and I did them all, I'm afraid
VardaValar1: None? ouch!
VardaValar1: I am not familiar much with that area. My two characters
are Elves
ArPharazonV: the very few ones I may have yet to do, do not make much
of a contribution anymore
VardaValar1: Grayed out
The Sir G3 has entered the room.
VardaValar1: Aiya Farmer : )
ArPharazonV: so it's runecloth runecloth and more more runecloth
The Sir G3: Aiya
VardaValar1: Guess Felcloth would be no help
ArPharazonV: 5 days of the week I spend with my main char, doing some
instance quests when possible, or raiding, and otherwise farming in
Hearthglen
ArPharazonV: the weekend I use for my alts
TheSirG3: what's up?
VardaValar1: Meetings pretty much over
ArPharazonV: it helps keep up at least a bit of variation
VardaValar1: Glorfindel had a good Tolkien topic
ArPharazonV: and I'm whining about Ironforge-reputation ;-)
TheSirG3: heh
VardaValar1: Glorfindel VG: when eowyn (and merry) destroyed the
witchking, what then happened to his ring? if he still wore it that
is... his clothes and crown and things fell
TheSirG3: interesting actually
VardaValar1: bodiless to the ground when he was slain... what became of
the ring? what if...Glorfindel VG: someone could have taken it...? used
it?
VardaValar1: Aye, good one!
TheSirG3: I would assume it was like the other rings? (eg, when Sauron
got "killed" it remained, and was taken)
VardaValar1: The Ringwraiths' Rings were all held by Sauron
TheSirG3: hm, they didn't wear them?
VardaValar1: Gandalf and Sauron carried their rings with them by spirit
on other occasions. Isildur messed things up for Sauron by quick action
VardaValar1: Right, Farmer
VardaValar1: After they became wraiths, Sauron held their rings
TheSirG3: ah
VardaValar1: Apparently he kept them with him, but lost his own.
top
After-meeting:
TheSirG3: woo for The Police and Wings =D
TheSirG3: so much better than Black Sabbath's War Pigs, which was the
only song I had on the comp for a while =P
VardaValar1: Variety is the spice of life : )
TheSirG3: yeah, but I prefer something not so loud while I'm working
TheSirG3: er, misinterpreted that at first
VardaValar1: Turn down the speaker? ;-)
TheSirG3: heh
TheSirG3: anyways, Band on the Run is a good song...
ArPharazonV: I
TheSirG3: J
ArPharazonV: 'm listening to http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/hob
bits at the moment again
ArPharazonV: also good music :-)
TheSirG3: I like the google ads for that
TheSirG3: I also like the google ads for the search "mexicans"
TheSirG3: Looking for Mexicans?Find exactly what you want
todaywww.eBay.com
VardaValar1: oh oh! : )
VardaValar1: New link on the
Glittering Caves Caverns
VardaValar1: Aerandir's personal page
with the things he made, like armor and trebuchets, now up
TheSirG3: he made actual trebuchets?
ArPharazonV: real size?
VardaValar1: only shows his smallest one right now, but it works
VardaValar1: His bigger ones still need to have the film developed and
scanned in
TheSirG3: heh
TheSirG3: neat
VardaValar1: He is wearing the chain mail though, in the pictures
ArPharazonV: heh, and he made Minas Tirith out of sand
VardaValar1: Minas Tirith is also not actual size ;-)
ArPharazonV: :-)
ArPharazonV: would take a big beach
VardaValar1: Some very cool ideas there
VardaValar1: Lots of real life effort
ArPharazonV: yup
mordacil: the big trebuchet was a lashing project for between classes
when I was teaching pioneering(the art of lashings and such in this
case) at boy scout camp
mordacil: I had to tighten teh ropes evey time it fired
VardaValar1: Glad you checked!
VardaValar1: Fangorn just came home, says hi!
ArPharazonV: http://www.thottbot.com/?p=Calaron
my main character made it to thottbot!
ArPharazonV: equipment seriously outdated, though :-)
VardaValar1: What's he doing there? An example of equipment:? I'll go
look : )
ArPharazonV: someone with some sort of thottbot-device must have met me
61 days ago and uploaded me to the database
ArPharazonV: about time, too, according to thottbot I was lvl 12 for
many months ;-)
ArPharazonV: Q:My profile is out of date. How do I update it?A:There
are two ways:1) Get someone that runs Cosmos to turn on the target
profile feature and target you. The next time they upload data, your
profile will be updated.
ArPharazonV: that must've been it
VardaValar1: heh
VardaValar1: That is weird
ArPharazonV: http://www.thottbot.com/?profile=Fainan.Lothar
ArPharazonV: there you are!
ArPharazonV: http://www.thottbot.com/?profile=Auros.Lothar
VardaValar1: eep!
VardaValar1: Must be from Arathorn. He runs Cosmos. [Note: comes from any player with Cosmos who inspects
and does the Profile, including strangers.]
ArPharazonV: http://www.thottbot.com/?profile=Haran.Lothar
?
ArPharazonV: http://www.thottbot.com/?f=p&guild=Valar
%20Guild
VardaValar1: hehe - that's old. Fainan has been 60 for a while
ArPharazonV: http://www.thottbot.com/?f=p&guild=The%
20High%20Guard
VardaValar1: Is there a way to see the character, not just the
equipment stats?
VardaValar1: sort of like the lobby, maybe?
ArPharazonV: don't think so
VardaValar1: hehe - guild very out of date!
VardaValar1: We have lots more people and a batch of 60's
ArPharazonV: :-)
ArPharazonV: it's about the last time each was updated
ArPharazonV: if characters weren't profiled by Cosmos, they don't show
up in the list
mordacil has left the room.
mordacil has entered the room.
VardaValar1: So we have to ask someone to run around with Cosmos and
update the info now and then
ArPharazonV: yup :-)
VardaValar1: Anyone look at those things?
ArPharazonV: not that I know of
ArPharazonV: but it's fun :-)
VardaValar1: hehe
VardaValar1: aye
VardaValar1: It's kind of a neat idea
ArPharazonV: don't you people have any druids? ;-)
VardaValar1: DAoC has a listing of gamers in a guild and how long since
they were last on
Eonwe Valar: Arathorn does
ArPharazonV: or priests
Eonwe Valar: And since when do I have a Profile?
VardaValar1: One would think Blizzard would do that for WoW
VardaValar1: You have a profile since someone with Cosmos clicked on
you for profile
Eonwe Valar: lol that equipment setup is sooooo old.
VardaValar1: Yes we have all classes
Xseanzee disco: mines back when i was level like 13 [Ereinion]
ArPharazonV: hunter, paladin, paladin, hunter, warrior, warrior,
hunter, hunter, warrior, paladin, mage, warlock, rogue, warrior,
warrior, hunter
Eonwe Valar: last I checked we had 2 lvl 60 Druids
VardaValar1: I need to update our Lothar guild page, but that one is
really bad : )
VardaValar1: I have a 36 priest
Eonwe Valar: I have a 28 Priest.
VardaValar1: Sauron has a 60 druid
VardaValar1: There are plenty of others
ArPharazonV: then they haven't been profiled yet :-)
ArPharazonV: anyway, gotta go
VardaValar1: Looks as if we haven't been profiled in ages
VardaValar1: Thanks for the cool info!
ArPharazonV: nope, not for hundreds of days, for you and Auros
VardaValar1: Maybe we can get Arathorn to show us a little better : )
ArPharazonV: my last update was 61 days ago
ArPharazonV: I have guildmembers who apparently were updated in the
last week
ArPharazonV: so there's a huge variation
ArPharazonV: anyway, saving
VardaValar1: Sure enough, says how long under the profile
VardaValar1: Thanks, Pharazon
VardaValar1: Enjoy that short little nap :-)
ArPharazonV: saved
Eonwe Valar: I'm curious what I was doign 143 days ago for someone to
wonder what I'm wearing.
Eonwe Valar: and why Varda's way back at 240-something
Xseanzee disco: i've gotta get going
VardaValar1: I'm not that interesting? : )
Xseanzee disco: namarie all
VardaValar1: Namarie, Gil-galad : )
Xseanzee disco has left the room.
Eonwe Valar: take care Gil-Galad
ArPharazonV: what strikes me as odd is that you were lvl 39 246 days
ago... has WoW really been out that long?
VardaValar1: If we're going to be that public, I should send everyone
fancy shirts, swashbuckler's or other
Eonwe Valar: Me?
VardaValar1: heheh
Eonwe Valar: WoW's been out for a year, and I've had it since almost
day 1.
VardaValar1: Long enough that there are people tired of the game
Eonwe Valar: Been playing it since THanksgiving 2004.
VardaValar1: And even that wasn't fast enough to get a server for the
America's guild before they started scattering
VardaValar1: I hope we can get a server chosen day one on LotRO
VardaValar1: That would cut some of the excuses
Eonwe Valar: My advice, pick it any let everyone live with it.
Eonwe Valar: any - and
VardaValar1: Maybe the first Norm one that comes online!
VardaValar1: I agree
ArPharazonV: sent!
VardaValar1: That's what we did
VardaValar1: Thank you, Phar
VardaValar1: And thank you for being so great about talking in Tolkien
chats!
Eonwe Valar: Discussion just takes too long. Pick one in USEast and run
with it.
ArPharazonV: ehr? great about talking in Tolkien chats? what do you
mean?
VardaValar1: Ereinion is 291 days : )
VardaValar1: You get right in there and chat!
VardaValar1: You don't just lurk
ArPharazonV: oh, right
VardaValar1: I hate to just talk to myself : )
ArPharazonV: well, some subjects I have something to contribute to, and
to some I don't
ArPharazonV: mostly I just speak what I can say about it :-)
VardaValar1: If Thotbot stayed updated, we could use it to see what we
needed to send each other
ArPharazonV: haha
VardaValar1: You must be able to say quite a bit : )
ArPharazonV: thanks
ArPharazonV: anyway, Namarie
ArPharazonV: and I posted in the RP!
ArPharazonV: return of the boomagger!
ArPharazonV: bye
ArPharazonV has left the room.
VardaValar1: oh yay!
VardaValar1: My whole family is represented on that list, the ones
living in the same house, at least : )
VardaValar1: Ah hah! It doesn't show "so and so made it"
Eonwe Valar: :}
Eonwe Valar: hmm?
VardaValar1: Like "made by Valtocolindo"
Eonwe Valar: ah

VardaValar1: It's too early for that!
VardaValar1: I'll look
Eonwe Valar: Unless he was referring to the post he made last week,
VardaValar1: That no one responded to? : )
VardaValar1: He figured he needed to tell us, probably
VardaValar1: Oh, I posted to the Tolkien Trivia for LotR
VardaValar1: Figured they would get that one : )
Eonwe Valar: Hopefully :}
